For the reasons stated on the record at the discovery hearing yesterday, plaintiff’s

17

request for protective orders (Dkt. No. 281) is DENIED. Defendants’ request to compel certain

18

discovery (Dkt. No. 282) is HELD IN ABEYANCE pending resolution of their motion for partial

19

summary judgment (Dkt. No. 275). Defendants’ motion for leave to amend infringement

20

contentions (Dkt. No. 292) is GRANTED IN PART as to the ’353 patent with the understanding

21

that defendants will not seek to add new accused instrumentalities. Defendants’ administrative

22

motion to shorten time (Dkt. No. 293) is DENIED AS MOOT.
