Plaintiff, Sabia Khan, filed his Complaint on May 16, 2011, and served it on 25 Defendants on July 26, 2011. In her Complaint, Plaintiff seeks a writ of mandamus ordering 26 Defendant Cameron Munter, U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan to adjudicate her childrens’ visa 27 applications. 28 SECOND JOINT STIPULATION TO RESET DEFENDANTS ANSWER DATE Case No. C 3:11-cv-2391 1 2 3 2. The parties have previously stipulated to an extension of time (ECF 12) and Defendants’ answer or responsive pleading is due on October 23, 2011 (ECF 13). 3. The agency is still investigating Plaintiff’s claims and there is a possibility that they 4 may become moot through agency action. In the event the dispute is so resolved, Plaintiff would 5 dismiss this action. 6 4. Because this action may be resolved without judicial intervention and in the interest of 7 judicial economy, Defendants request, and Plaintiff agrees to extend the deadline for the 8 responsive pleading by an additional thirty (30) days, to November 23, 2011, within which the 9 Defendants must file and serve their answer or responsive pleading. 10 11 5.
