Plaintiff Kitty Yingling Zhang brings this action for alleged violations of the Real Estate

Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and other federal and state laws that govern

home mortgages. Three motions currently are scheduled to be heard on September 21, 2011: (1)

Defendants’ motion to dismiss, Dkt. No. 9; (2) Zhang’s motion for default judgment, Dkt. No.

22

12; and (3) Zhang’s motion for leave to amend, Dkt. No. 16.

Based on the papers submitted by the parties, the Court finds that all three motions are

appropriate for determination without oral argument. See Civil L.R. 7-1(b). Accordingly, the
