C 12-04922 RS 1 Case3:12-cv-04922-RS Document89 Filed06/19/14 Page2 of 2 1 Plaintiffs Jacquelyn Hall, Ariana Martinez, Karla Fernandez, Chavon White, and Esther 2 Williams, on behalf of themselves and a proposed class of similarly situated present and former 3 Marin Housing Authority tenants and the Housing Authority of the County of Marin (“MHA”) have 4 entered into the Settlement Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A which would resolve this 5 litigation. Plaintiffs have moved for, and MHA has stated that it does not oppose, an order for the 6 final approval of the settlement. Class notice having been effected as set forth in the May 15, 2014, 7 Order of this Court preliminarily approving the settlement, and this Court having reviewed the two 8 only op-outs transmitted in response to the Class Notice, and with no objections to the settlement 9 having been transmitted pursuant to the Order of Preliminary Approval, and good cause appearing, 10 11 the Court hereby grants the motion and orders as follows: 1. The Court finds that the proposed settlement and compromise of this action as set forth 12 in the Settlement Agreement is fair, reasonable, and adequate for settlement class 13 members and is hereby approved by the Court. 14 2. The Court shall retain jurisdiction with respect to the interpretation, implementation, and 15 enforcement of the terms of the Settlement Agreement and all orders and judgments 16 entered in connection therewith for a two year period after the date of this Order of Final 17 Approval of the settlement herein. 18 3. The request of Class Counsel for the payment of attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses 19 pursuant to the terms of the Settlement Agreement, is fair and reasonable and is 20 approved by the Court. 21 4.
