LONG TERM DISABILITY PLAN, 15 16 17 Defendants. ____________________________________/ 18 19 Pursuant to Rule 16(b) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the parties attended a 20 Case Management Conference on July 18, 2013. After considering the Joint Case Management 21 Statement submitted by the parties and consulting with the attorneys of record for the parties and 22 good cause appearing, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT: 23 1. 24 PRIVATE MEDIATION. The parties have agreed to participate in private mediation, to 25 26 27 ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION. take place, ideally, within the next ninety (90) days. 2. DISCOVERY. On or before December 31, 2013, all discovery shall be completed by the parties. 28 CASE MANAGEMENT SCHEDULING ORDER 3. DISCOVERY DISPUTES. Discovery disputes will be referred to a Magistrate 2 Judge. After the parties have met and conferred, the parties shall prepare a joint letter of not 3 more than 8 pages explaining the dispute. Up to 12 pages of attachments may be added. The 4 joint letter must be electronically filed under the Civil Events category of "Motions and Related 5 Filings >Motions--General > Discovery Letter Brief." The Magistrate Judge to whom the matter 6 is assigned will advise the parties of how that Judge intends to proceed. The Magistrate Judge 7 may issue a ruling, order more formal briefing, or set a telephone conference or a hearing. After 8 a Magistrate Judge has been assigned, all further discovery matters shall be filed pursuant to that 9 Judge's procedures. 10 4. DISPOSITIVE MOTION BRIEFING SCHEDULE: 11 For the Northern District of California United States District Court 1 A. On or before February 10, 2014, parties shall file their Opening Rule 52 Briefs. 12 B. On or before March 3, 2014, parties shall file their Opposition Briefs. 13 C. On or before March 16, 2014, parties shall file their Reply Briefs. 14 5. TRIAL.
