CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO, et al. Defendant. / 20 21 Magistrate Judge Nathanael Cousins referred Jon Gray v. San Francisco Deputy Sheriff’s 22 Association, No. 13-cv-04340, to this Court to determine whether it is related to the present 23 action. Under Civil Local Rule 3–12, actions are related when two requirements are met: (1) the 24 actions concern substantially the same parties, property, transaction, or event, and (2) it appears 25 likely that there will be an unduly burdensome duplication of labor and expense or conflicting 26 results if the cases are conducted before different judges. 27 28 Both cases were filed by the same plaintiff and concern the same set of transactions and events. Thus, Jon Gray v. San Francisco Deputy Sheriff’s Association is related to the present 1 action and San Francisco Deputy Sheriff’s Association shall be immediately assigned to the 2 undersigned judge for all purposes. 3 4 IT IS SO ORDERED. 5 6 Dated: October 7, 2013.
