This matter came before the Court for an initial case management conference on June
20 25, 2014, after several continuances granted at plaintiff’s request to allow the parties to
21 engage in informal settlement discussions. See Dkt. No. 12. Plaintiff’s counsel did not file
22 a case management statement and was not present at the June 25 case management
23 conference.

IT IS ORDERED that plaintiff’s counsel appear in person on July 9, 2014, at 10:00
25 a.m. in Courtroom A, 15th Floor, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, California, to
26 show cause why this action should not be dismissed for his failure to appear at the case
27 management conference and file a case management statement as required by the local rules
28 and Court orders, and for failure to prosecute this action. See Civ. L.R. 16-9(1) and 16Case No. 13-cv-05024 NC
