1 2 3 4 5 6 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 7 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 8 9 ILIFE TECHNOLOGIES, INC., No. C 14-03345 WHA 11 For the Northern District of California United States District Court 10 12 Plaintiff, v. ALIPHCOM d/b/a JAWBONE, 13 ORDER RE PRO HAC VICE FORM Defendant. / 14 15 The pro hac vice applications of Attorney Phillip Morton (Dkt. Nos. 60, 62) are DENIED 16 for failing to comply with Local Rule 11-3. The local rule requires that an applicant certify that 17 “he or she is an active member in good standing of the bar of a United States Court or of the 18 highest court of another State or the District of Columbia, specifying such bar.” Filling out the 19 pro hac vice form from the district court website such that it only identifies the state of bar 20 membership — such as “Commonwealth of Virginia” or “State of Virginia” — is inadequate 21 under the local rule because it fails to identify a specific court. While the application fee does 22 not need to be paid again, the application cannot be processed until a corrected form is 23 submitted. 24 25 IT IS SO ORDERED. 26 27 28 Dated: October 8, 2014. WILLIAM ALSUP UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE
