At 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, the Court held a case

14

management conference in this matter. Plaintiff’s counsel did not appear. Counsel neither

15

requested nor was granted leave not to appear. Accordingly, plaintiff’s counsel is hereby ordered

16

to show cause in writing why the Court should not impose monetary sanctions for counsel’s

17

failure to appear at the case management conference. The response to this order is due by 3:00

18

p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015. Defendant need not submit a statement.

19

Plaintiff’s counsel and plaintiff are advised that the Court will hold a hearing on

20

defendant’s motion to dismiss on January 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Any failure to appear at that

21

hearing may result in dismissal of this action.
