After considering the Joint Case Management 15 Statement submitted by the parties and consulting with the attorneys of record for the parties and 16 good cause appearing, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT: 17 1. 18 MEDIATION: The parties are hereby REFERRED to the court’s ADR department for the 19 ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION. purpose of engaging in mediation to take place, ideally, within the next 60 days. 20 2. 21 Discovery shall be limited as follows: (a) ten (10) non-expert depositions per party; (b) DISCOVERY. 22 twenty-five (25) interrogatories per party, including all discrete subparts; (c) a reasonable number 23 of requests for production of documents or for inspection per party; and (d) a reasonable number 24 of requests for admission per party. 25 3. 26 Discovery disputes will be referred to a Magistrate Judge. After the parties have met and 27 conferred, the parties shall prepare a joint letter of not more than 8 pages explaining the dispute. 28 Up to 12 pages of attachments may be added. The joint letter must be electronically filed under DISCOVERY DISPUTES. 1 the Civil Events category of "Motions and Related Filings >Motions--General > Discovery Letter 2 Brief." The Magistrate Judge to whom the matter is assigned will advise the parties of how that 3 Judge intends to proceed. The Magistrate Judge may issue a ruling, order more formal briefing, or 4 set a telephone conference or a hearing. After a Magistrate Judge has been assigned, all further 5 discovery matters shall be filed pursuant to that Judge’s procedures. 6 4. FURTHER CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE. 7 A Further Case Management Conference shall be held on November 5, 2015 at 11:00 8 a.m. All parties shall appear telephonically and must contact Court Conference at (866)582-6878 9 at least one week prior to the Conference to arrange their participation. The parties shall file a 10 United States District Court Northern District of California 11 Joint Case Management Statement at least one week prior to the Conference.
