1 2 3 4 5 6 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 7 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 8 9 ETOPIA EVANS, et al., 11 For the Northern District of California United States District Court 10 Plaintiffs, 12 13 14 15 No. C 16-01030 WHA v. ORDER DENYING PRO HAC VICE APPLICATION ARIZONA CARDINALS FOOTBALL CLUB, LLC, et al., Defendants. / 16 17 The pro hac vice application of Attorney Marla Axelrod (Dkt. No. 159) is DENIED for 18 failing to comply with Local Rule 11-3. That rule requires an applicant to certify that “he or 19 she is an active member in good standing of the bar of a United States Court or of the highest 20 court of another State or the District of Columbia, specifying such bar” (emphasis added). 21 Filling out the pro hac vice form from the district court website such that it identifies only the 22 state of bar membership — e.g., “the bar of District of Columbia” — is inadequate under the 23 rule because it fails to identify a specific court. While the application fee does not need to be 24 paid again, the application cannot be processed until a corrected form is submitted. 25 26 IT IS SO ORDERED. 27 28 Dated: January 19, 2017. WILLIAM ALSUP UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE
