Pursuant to Locale Rule 6-2, Plaintiff Ermelinda Whitney and Defendant Wal-Mart

Stores, Inc., by and through undersigned counsel, hereby stipulate and request a continuance of
22
discovery deadlines currently set forth in the Court’s Scheduling Order (ECF No. 13).

The parties engaged in a mediation session on January 4, 2017. Thereafter, the parties
24
engaged in limited discovery to facilitate further settlement discussions and possible settlement.
25
The parties jointly agree that to facilitate further settlement discussions and complete
26
full discovery in this case, the discovery deadlines currently set forth in the Court’s Scheduling
27
Order should be extended. The parties have not previously requested extend deadlines in the
28
Order. Additionally, such extension will have no effect on the trial date in this case.
