1 2 3 4 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 5 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 6 7 N'KAYLA BARNES, Plaintiff, 8 9 ORDER DIRECTING PARTIES TO FILE STATUS REPORT v. 10 MONUMENT SECURITY, INC., et al., 11 United States District Court Northern District of California Case No. 16-cv-03281-MMC Defendants. 12 13 On September 16, 2016, the Court set trial and pretrial dates in the above-titled 14 action, and, on November 22, 2016, extended to March 15, 2017, the deadline for the 15 parties to complete court-sponsored mediation. 16 The Court has been advised by the ADR Unit that no mediation has been 17 conducted, based on the parties’ apparent understanding that the action had been stayed 18 until resolution of a pending bankruptcy proceeding. 19 20 21 As acknowledged in the Notice of Stay, however, the stay is “effective only as to defendant Monument Security, Inc.” (See Notice, filed Feb. 27, 2017.) Accordingly, the parties are hereby DIRECTED to file, no later than April 21, 2017, 22 a joint report apprising the Court as to the status of the case, including how the parties 23 wish to proceed as to defendant RD/JET, LLC, erroneously sued as Jetro Holdings, LLC, 24 as to which no stay has been entered. 25 IT IS SO ORDERED. 26 27 28 Dated: April 7, 2017 MAXINE M.
