v.
CITY OF SO. SAN FRANCISCO POLICE
DEPARTMENT, et al.,
Defendants.
________________________________/
10
United States District Court
For the Northern District of California
On February 26, 2013, the parties filed a joint case
11
management statement that identifies by name the minor friend of
12
Plaintiff Rachel Guido’s son.
Federal Rule of Civil Procedure
13
5.2(a) provides that the name of any “individual known to be a
14
minor” must be redacted from publicly filed court documents.
15
Because the parties here failed to abide by Rule 5.2 in filing
16
their joint case management statement, the document has been
17
stricken and removed from the docket.
Defendants’ Answer, which
18
similarly identifies the minor individual by name, has also been
19
stricken and removed from the docket.
20
The parties shall redact the minor individual’s name from
21
their joint case management statement and re-file the document.
22
Defendants shall redact the minor individual’s name from their
23
Answer and re-file the document.
The parties shall comply with
24
Rule 5.2 in all future filings.
25
IT IS SO ORDERED.
