GEORGE CHANDLER, JR.,
/
On June 20, 2013, Plaintiff, a state prisoner, filed a pro se civil rights action pursuant to 42
U.S.C. § 1983.
On the same date, the Clerk of the Court notified Plaintiff in writing that his action was
13
deficient in that he had not submitted an in forma pauperis application. The Clerk further notified
14
him that this action would be dismissed if he did not submit a completed in forma pauperis
15
application within twenty-eight days. In addition, on June 20, 2013, the Clerk notified Plaintiff in
16

17
Further review of Plaintiff's case reveals that, in addition to failing to complete an in forma

of California, and it appears that Defendants reside in that district. Venue, therefore, properly lies in
21
that district and not in this one. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b).
22
Accordingly, in the interest of justice and pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1406(a), this action is
23
TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.1 The
