COUNSEL'S MOTION FOR
ATTORNEYS' FEES

On February 29, 2016, the court granted in part Plaintiff Denise Anne Harris’s motion for

summary judgment and remanded this matter for further administrative proceedings. [Docket No.
14
22.] Following remand, the Commissioner of Social Security granted Plaintiff’s application for
15
Social Security Disability Insurance benefits and awarded her retroactive benefits. [Docket No. 27
16
at 3.] On April 22, 2016, the court awarded Plaintiff $3,700.00 in attorneys’ fees payable by the
17
government pursuant to the Equal Access to Justice Act (“EAJA”), 28 U.S.C. § 2412(b). [Docket
18
No. 26.]

Plaintiff’s counsel now moves for an award of attorneys’ fees pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §
20
406(b). [Docket No. 27.] The motion has been served on Plaintiff Harris, (see Docket No. 31,
21
Certificate of Service), and no opposition or objection has been filed. Having reviewed the

motion, the court hereby awards Plaintiff’s counsel attorneys’ fees pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 406(b)
in the amount of $14,200.00. Counsel shall immediately reimburse Plaintiff Harris the $3,700.00
in EAJA fees previously paid by the government, for a net fee of $10,500.00.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
