Petitioner, a California prisoner proceeding pro se, filed a second amended petition for a

writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. On April 8, 2014, the court directed

respondent to file an answer or motion to dismiss within sixty days. (Docket No. 59.)

Respondent has filed a motion requesting a sixty day extension of time, up to and including
21
August 5, 2014, to file an answer or motion to dismiss. (Docket No. 60.)

Respondent’s motion is GRANTED. Respondent shall file an answer or motion to
dismiss no later than August 5, 2014.

This order terminates docket number 60.
