18 Pursuant to Civil Local Rule 6-1(a), Defendant Apple, Inc. ("Apple") and Plaintiff
19 Elan Microelectronics Corporation ("Elan") and, by and though their respective counsel of
20 record, hereby stipulate as follows:

21 WHEREAS, Elan served its Complaint for Patent Infrngement ("Complaint") on

22 April 8,2009;

23 WHEREAS, Apple curently has until April 28, 2009 to answer or respond to
24 Elan's Complaint;

25 WHEREAS, Apple has requested and Elan has consented to an additional 45 days
26 for Apple's answer or response to Elan's Complaint;

27 WHEREAS, an additional 45 days for Apple's answer or response to Elan's
28 Complaint will not alter the date of any event or any deadline already fixed by Court order;
