FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO
FILE TRAVERSE

Petitioner, a California prisoner proceeding pro se, filed an amended petition for a writ of

habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. On April 14, 2014, respondent filed a motion to

19

dismiss petitioner’s newly-added habeas corpus claims as untimely. (Docket No. 82.) Petitioner

20

has filed a motion for an extension of time to file a traverse which the court construes as a

21

motion for an extension of time to file an opposition. (Docket No. 83.)

22

So construed, petitioner’s motion for an extension of time to file an opposition is

23

GRANTED. Petitioner’s opposition shall be filed no later than twenty-eight (28) days from the

24

filing date of this order. Respondent shall file a reply within fourteen (14) days thereafter.

25

This order terminates docket number 83.
