The court held a status conference on June 5, 2012. Defendant having advised that it

expects to retain new counsel shortly, the court grants defendant’s request for a brief
20
continuance to allow time for new defense counsel to enter an appearance in this matter. The
21
parties shall file a joint status report no later than July 10, 2012, and this matter is set for a
22
further case management conference on July 17, 2012, 1:30 p.m. at which time the parties shall
23
be prepared to discuss new dates for a final pretrial conference and trial.
