Pursuant to Civil L.R. 7-11 and 79-5, and General Order No. 62, Defendants Samsung
2 Electronics Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics America, Inc., and Samsung Telecommunications
3 America, LLC (collectively, “Samsung”) hereby bring this administrative motion for an order to
4 seal:

1. Samsung’s Motion to Compel Apple to Produce Documents and Things (the
“Motion to Compel”);
2. The Declaration of Anna Neill in Support of Samsung’s Motion to Compel and

Motion to Shorten Time (the “Neill Declaration”) and its exhibits;

3. Samsung’s [Proposed] Order Granting Samsung’s Motion to Compel;

Samsung has established good cause to permit filing these documents under seal through
15 the Declaration of Brett Arnold in Support of Samsung’s Administrative Motion to File
16 Documents Under Seal, filed herewith.
The above documents discuss and refer to documents
17 and things that Apple has designated as CONFIDENTIAL — ATTORNEYS EYES ONLY under
18 the interim protective order.
Samsung trusts that Apple will file the necessary declaration
19 validating these designations per Local Rule 79-5(d).

Pursuant to General Order No. 62, Samsung’s entire filing will be lodged with the Court
21 for in camera review and served on all parties.

Apple does not oppose this motion.
