Plaintiff, an inmate at the Santa Clara County Jail, California, filed a pro se civil
rights complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, challenging the conditions of his confinement.
On August 5, 2011, the Court dismissed the complaint with leave to amend within thirty
days of the order. (Docket No. 15.)
On October 18, 2011, Plaintiff filed a letter requesting additional time to file his
amended complaint. (Docket No. 24.) Although Plaintiff’s motion is untimely, for good
cause shown and in the interest of justice, Plaintiff’s request is GRANTED. Plaintiff
shall file his amended complaint no later than thirty (30) days from the date this order
