Plaintiff, an inmate at the Santa Clara County Jail, California, filed a pro se civil

19

rights complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, challenging the conditions of his confinement.

On August 5, 2011, the Court dismissed the complaint with leave to amend within thirty

21

days of the order. (Docket No. 15.)

On October 18, 2011, Plaintiff filed a letter requesting additional time to file his

23

amended complaint. (Docket No. 24.) Although Plaintiff’s motion is untimely, for good
