Plaintiff, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, initiated the instant action by filing a
17
“request for entry of default judgment, pursuant to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures”
18
against Defendant Detective Victor Ross of the Los Angeles Police Department,
19
regarding his actions in Plaintiff’s conviction out of Los Angeles County. (Docket No. 1,
20
Ex. A at 1.) Because the acts complained of occurred in Los Angeles County, which lies
21
within the venue of the Western Division of the Central District of California, venue
22
properly lies in that district and not in this one. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b). Accordingly,
23
this case is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Central District,
24
the Western Division, of California. See 28 U.S. C. § 1406(a).

The Clerk shall terminate any pending motions and transfer the entire file to the
26
Western Division of the Central District of California.
