On August 6, 2013, Plaintiff Rene G. Amador (“Plaintiff”) failed to appear at a case

management conference hearing.1 In advance of the conference, Plaintiff did not file a case
19
management statement. In light of these facts, the court ordered Plaintiff to show cause by no later
20
than October 7, 2013, as to why the case should not be dismissed for failure to prosecute.2 Plaintiff
21
did not respond.
