On November 6, 2013, Plaintiff, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, filed the
19
instant civil rights action in pro se pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and an In Forma
20
Pauperis (“IFP”) Application. On the same day, Plaintiff was notified that his IFP
21
application was deficient because it lacked the following documents: (1) a Certificate
22
of Funds in Prisoner’s Account completed and signed by an authorized prison official;
23
and (2) a copy of Plaintiff’s trust account statement showing transactions for the last
24
six months. (Docket No. 3.) On November 27, 2013, Plaintiff filed a second IFP
25
application, which is deficient for the same reasons.1 (Docket No. 5.) Plaintiff also
26
filed a short form application to proceed without prepaying fees or costs, which is

insufficient and not supported by the required documents. (Docket No. 8.)
In the interest of justice, Plaintiff is granted an extension of time to file the

missing documents to complete the IFP application. Plaintiff must file the necessary
4
documents no later than twenty-eight (28) days from the date this order is filed. In
5
the alternative, Plaintiff may pay the filing fee in the same time provided.

Failure to file a timely response in accordance with this order by filing a

complete IFP application or paying the filing fee in the time provided will result in
