IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
9
FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA
On July 21, 2015, petitioner, a state prisoner proceeding prose, filed a federal writ of
16
habeas corpus, motion to appoint counsel, and "declaration ofindigency." That same day, the
17
court sent a notification to petitioner, informing him that he did not pay the filing fee, and his
18
application to proceed in forma pauperis ("IFP") was incomplete. The court provided petitioner
19
with a blank IFP application, along with a return envelope, and a notification that the case would
20
be dismissed if petitioner failed to pay the fee, or file a completed application with supporting
21
documentation within twenty-eight days.
22
On August 4, 2015, petitioner sent to the court a letter that stated that the "filing fee is
23
going through the process of the trust office." Petitioner has not submitted any evidence
24
supporting that statement. To date, no filing fee has been filed, nor has petitioner filed a
25
complete IFP application. As more than twenty-eight days have passed since petitioner was
26
instructed to do so, this case is DISMISSED without prejudice. The clerk shall terminate all
27
pending motions and close the case.
