Plaintiff, a California state inmate proceeding pro se, filed a civil rights action

17

pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The events of which Plaintiff complains occurred at the

18

California Medical Facility (“CMF”). The Defendants are located at CMF. CMF is

19

located with the Eastern District of California. See 28 U.S.C. § 84(b). Venue therefore is

20

proper in the Eastern District of California, and not in this one. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b).

21

Accordingly, in the interest of justice and pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1406(a), this case

22

is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of

23

California. In view of the transfer, the Court will not rule upon Plaintiff’s motions. Dkt.

24

Nos. 5-7. The Clerk of the Court is directed to transfer the case forthwith.
