DEFENDANT’S CONSENT STATUS REPORT
Defendant, United States Department of Justice, by and through its undersigned counsel,
respectfully files this report pursuant to the Court’s Minute Order dated October 11, 2011 in this
case, which arises under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”), 5 U.S.C. § 552, as amended.
The parties advise the Court that this matter cannot be resolved short of the filing of dispositive
motions because, although the agency has further reviewed the withheld documents and identified
publicly available documents, there remains responsive material that has been withheld under FOIA
Exemptions. The parties will therefore comply with the Court’s briefing schedule also entered by
Minute Order dated October 11, 2011.
