RECEIVER’S NOTICE REGARDING RETURN
OF $100,000 DEPOSIT TO ARCHER PETROLEUM
On July 24, 2019, Burton W. Wiand, as receiver (the “Receiver”) for Quest Energy
Management Group, Inc. (“Quest”) filed his Verified Motion to Authorize The Receiver to
Retain a $100,000 Earnest Money Deposit Due to the Purchaser’s Failure to Close the CourtApproved Sale of Quest Assets (Doc. 1419) (the “Motion”). On October 25, 2019, Edwin P.
Krieger of Wormington & Bollington (“W&B”) filed an opposition to the Motion as “Trial
Counsel for Archer Petroleum.” See Doc. 1423 at 15. On November 26, 2019, the Court
denied the Motion and instructed the Receiver to return the deposit and to file a notice
updating the Court. Doc. 1427. Pursuant to wire instructions from W&B, as counsel for
Archer Petroleum, on December 3, 2019, the Receiver’s law firm wired $100,000 to
Wormington Law Group PLLC. The wire transfer has been processed, and W&B has
confirmed receipt of the funds.
