NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF RECEIVER’S COURT-APPROVED NOTICE OF
SETTLEMENT WITH GOLDMAN SACHS EXECUTION & CLEARING, L.P.
On December 14, 2011, Burton W. Wiand, as Receiver (the “Receiver”), filed his
Motion to Approve Settlement (Doc. 679), which sought approval of a settlement reached
with Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, L.P. Concurrently with the Motion to Approve
Settlement, the Receiver filed his Motion to Approve Proposed Notice of Settlement (Doc.
681), which sought approval of a proposed notice to be sent to investors, potential joint
tortfeasors, and other interested parties whose rights may be affected by that settlement (the

“Notice”), along with a proposed abbreviated notice for publication (the “Short Form
Notice”). That same day, the Court entered an Endorsed Order (Doc. 682) granting the
Receiver’s Motion to Approve Proposed Notice of Settlement.
This notice is being filed to inform the Court that, on December 17, 2011, the courtapproved Short-Form Notice was published in the Sarasota Herald Tribune and the Wall
Street Journal national edition.
