Thompson v. The Florida Bar Doc. 100 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA JOHN B. THOMPSON, Plaintiff, v. THE FLORIDA BAR and DAVA J. TUNIS, Defendants. PLAINTIFF'S MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE DOCUMENT COMES NOW plaintiff, John B. Thompson, hereinafter Thompson, as an attorney on his own behalf, and moves this court for leave to file the attached document, stating: 1. The attached is a letter from Florida Bar President Frank Angones to plaintiff, which denies Thompson his right to appear before the Board of Governors regarding the constitutional issues posed by the subject disciplinary matters. 2. Angones' denial of this right to Thompson is in contravention of the "state remedy" available to Thompson, as set forth in The Bar's own filing of Document 69 herein, the Mason v. Florida Bar case opinion, in which the federal court, at footnote 6, explains that Mason had the opportunity to appear before The Bar's Board of Governors and did not avail himself of that "state remedy." Thus, as the letter by Angones proves, The Bar has absolutely no interest whatsoever in affording Thompson the "state remedy" that it disingenuously states to the court Thompson has. WHEREFORE, let the injunction issue.
