Thompson v. The Florida Bar Doc. 256 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA JOHN B. THOMPSON, Plaintiff, v. THE FLORIDA BAR and DAVA J. TUNIS, Defendants. PLAINTIFF'S MOTION FOR STAY COMES NOW plaintiff, John B. Thompson, hereinafter Thompson, as an attorney on his own behalf, and hereby moves this court for a stay of these proceedings and a stay of the state disciplinary proceedings as well, stating: The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals will today receive, by means of Federal Express, plaintiff's petition for mandamus/prohibition and his requests for stays of these lower court proceedings and the state disciplinary proceedings. Plaintiff moves this trial court for the latter two forms of relief, in light of the fact that the first listed relief sought pertains to the impropriety of this court's continuing to preside over this case, a case in which it adopted the tactics of the defendant Bar and Norm Kent. I HEREBY CERTIFY that this has been served upon record counsel this 23rd day of October, 2007, electronically. /s/ JOHN B.
