PLAINTIFF'S NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL AUTHORITY COMES NOW plaintiff, John B. Thompson, hereinafter Thompson, as an attorney on his own behalf, and provides the court and the parties with three additional items of real authority, stating: The court may or may not be aware of the Christian minister and apologist, Oswald Chambers, pictured here: Case No. 07-21256 (Judge Adalberto Jordan) His Scripture based writings have changed millions of lives. Thompson's daily Bible study is keyed around Chambers' devotional My Utmost for His Highest, which is "his best-known book, has been continuously in print in the United States since 1935 and remains in the top ten titles of the religious book bestseller list with millions of copies in print. It has become a Christian classic." It undoubtedly surpasses nationalgaynew.com in readership in the gay faith-based community. If Chambers appeared naked having sexual intercourse with teenaged boys, then Bar Governor Steve Chaykin, Thompson's "designated reviewer" and Mr. Kent would maybe pay attention. Thompson first submits as "supplemental authority" to this court today's November 1 Chambers devotional, below, available on-line at http://www.rbc.org/utmost/index.php. Why such an unorthodox filing? First, the authority for anything any American court of law does rests upon God's transcendent Word, as Justice Clarence Thomas noted at his Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings. That, of course, is why the Ten Commandments are posted in the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. Secondly, if The Bar can fraudulently, unethically submit to this court, with no consequence, the Mason v. Florida Bar case for the proposition that this court must abstain from proceeding beyond the motion to dismiss stage of this case, then surely plaintiff can provide real authority to this court explaining what this case is really about. The defendant Bar, during the pendency of this federal case, demands, in writing the agreement of Thompson to allow it to pathologize Thompson's faith by a forced mental exam. This court actually had the temerity, in the face of that formal bad faith effort by The Bar ,to state in one of its odd orders that it, the court, did not see the relevance of a Forensic Report by a psychologist used by The Bar itself that Thompson is perfectly sane, his law practice enhanced by his faith. Not relevant in a case arising out 2 of The Bar's current efforts to brand Thompson insane? The Bar's ongoing bad faith attempt to stigmatize and pathologize his Christianity is at the very core of this case and this court, in a flight from reality, pretends that it does not see that. This court, as indicated by its discriminatory actions and its serial orders containing ad hominem attacks upon Thompson, has clearly bought into the notion that Thompson is some sort of religious zealot who wants to recruit this judge into his "crusade." The court has referred to Thompson's alleged recruitment desire twice in its orders. That is one of the more remarkable assertions Thompson has ever heard. No sane person would want the federal judiciary to get involved in the "culture war." A federal court in Lousiana struck down a law drafted by Thompson, passed unanimously by the Louisiana legislature and signed into law by Governor Blanco that simply sought to stop the sale of adult-rated products to children, like the current Manhunt 2 made by SLAPP Bar complainant Take-Two. Thompson would rather have Michael Vick manage a dog shelter. Here, then, since The Barhas made Thompson's faith ITS issue for twenty years, is today's Scripture-based, Chambers devotional that is authority that explains Thompson's actions better than some loony psychiatrist could. Judge Huck writes in a case The Bar cites as "authority" that all Thompson has is "wild accusations of a vast conspiracy at The Bar." All Judge Huck has is a mean-spirited bias matched by this court's. The federal judiciary, as U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley, sitting on the Senate Judiciary Committee, acts "as if they though they were gods above the law." Here then, for this court, is what the real God has to say about why Thompson does what He does: 3 November 1, 2007 "You Are Not Your Own" [Real Authority]: "Do you not know that . . . you are not your own?" --1 Corinthians 6:19 There is no such thing as a private life, or a place to hide in this world, for a man or woman who is intimately aware of and shares in the sufferings of Jesus Christ. God divides the private life of His saints and makes it a highway for the world on one hand and for Himself on the other. No human being can stand that unless he is identified with Jesus Christ. We are not sanctified for ourselves. We are called into intimacy with the gospel, and things happen that appear to have nothing to do with us. But God is getting us into fellowship with Himself. Let Him have His way. If you refuse, you will be of no value to God in His redemptive work in the world, but will be a hindrance and a stumbling block. The first thing God does is get us grounded on strong reality and truth. He does this until our cares for ourselves individually have been brought into submission to His way for the purpose of His redemption. Why shouldn't we experience heartbreak? Through those doorways God is opening up ways of fellowship with His Son. Most of us collapse at the first grip of pain. We sit down at the door of God's purpose and enter a slow death through self-pity. And all the so-called Christian sympathy of others helps us to our deathbed. But God will not. He comes with the grip of the pierced hand of His Son, as if to say, "Enter into fellowship with Me; arise and shine." If God can accomplish His purposes in this world through a broken heart, then why not thank Him for breaking yours? Thompson's life has not been his own since 1976 when he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of his life. Christianity is the fastest growing faith on the planet, and for good reason. Its "authority" rests upon God's Son not upon some post facto Administrative order cobbled together to keep evidence out of court files. Thompson is but one H2O 4 molecule in a tide of faith which will, ultimately, drown out The Bar's self-righteous roarings. What is authority in this case? Even The Bar rails against what The Declaration of Independence tells us is the real authority that transcends to this very court: "When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights..." Thompson has then, according to this nation's most sacred document, the Declaration of Independence, the "unalienable right," guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, to worship and serve his God. The Bar seeks to deny Thompson that right, as that effort is going on right under this court's nose. Finally, as to the third bit of real authority which both explains Thompson's actions as well as the bad faith of the defendant Bar and from where that bad faith emanates: Jesus said, "If any of you should cause one of these little ones to stumble, then it would be better for you that a millstone be tied around your neck and that you be cast into the uttermost depths of the sea." Mark 9:42. Thompson has acted upon that Scriptural verse.
