SUA SPONTE ORDER
THIS CAUSE is before the Court sua sponte. Upon review of the record in the
instant case, the undersigned—who recently became a Senior U.S. District Judge—will
likely be out of the District during the scheduled trial period in this matter. In the interest
of promoting the efficient judicial resolution of this matter, the parties are encouraged to
voluntarily consent to trial before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman in accordance
with the provisions of 28 U.S.C. § 636(c).
Based on the foregoing, it is hereby ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the parties
shall file a Joint Notice no later than Friday, June 17, 2011, indicating whether the parties
consent to jurisdiction before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman for purposes of
Pretrial Conference and Trial.
