INTERIM JOINT STATUS REPORT
Motorola Mobility, Inc., Motorola Solutions, Inc., and Apple Inc. (collectively, the
"Parties") submit this Interim Joint Status Report as required by the February 2, 2011 Scheduling
Order For Pretrial Conference And Trial [DE 45] ("Order"). The Parties' responses to the
questions set forth in the Order are provided below.

Parties' Responses

1. Have all the defendants been served and
answered the complaint? If not, state the
reason(s) for the failure to do so.

Apple Inc., the only defendant, has been
served, has answered, and has filed
counterclaims. The counter-defendants,
Motorola Solutions, Inc. and Motorola
Mobility, Inc. have answered the
counterclaims.

2. If this is a class action, has a motion for
class certification been filed? If so, what is its
status?

Not applicable.

3. Are there any motions pending? If so,
indicate the status of each motion separately.

Apple filed a Motion to Transfer Venue [DE
37] on January 12, 2011, which remains
pending.
The Parties filed a Joint Motion for Setting of
Contention Deadlines and for Extending Claim
Construction Briefing Deadlines on April 25,
2011 [DE 77]. That joint motion remains
pending.

4. Have the parties filed their Notice of
Selection of Mediator as required by the
Court's Order of Referral to Mediator?

Yes. The Parties filed the Notice of Selection
of Mediator on February 25, 2011 [DE 58].

5. Have the parties agreed to a place, date and
time for mediation and has the lead attorney for
the plaintiff(s) completed the form Order of
Referral to Mediation and submitted it to the
Court? If not, state the reason(s) for the failure
to do so.

Yes. The mediation is scheduled for July 14,
2011 at 9:30 AM PDT in San Francisco, CA
before the parties' selected mediator, Anthony
Piazza, Esq. Plaintiff completed and filed the
form Order of Referral to Mediation on May 2,
2011 [DE 79].

6. Have the parties engaged in informal
settlement negotiations? If so, explain the
extent of the negotiations. If not, explain the
reason(s) for the failure to do so.

Yes. The Parties have met regularly to discuss
settlement, and discussions are ongoing.

7. If the case is less than five days to try, have
the parties conferred and have they agreed to
trial before a U.S. Magistrate Judge, wherein a
date certain for trial may be given?

Not applicable.
