N O T IC E OF CORPORATE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT REQUIREMENT N O T IC E TO FILER: T h e Notice of removal filed on January 29, 2008 by Gatehouse Media Louisiana H o ld in g s Inc and Newsleader Inc was the first appearance by this party. According to F e d .R .C iv .P . 7.1, "the first appearance of a non-governmental corporate party requires a c o rp o ra te disclosure statement." Additionally, the rule requires that a corporate party " p ro m p tly" supplement the statement upon any change in the information that the party p re v io u sly provided to the court. In accordance with this new rule, the United States District Court, Western District of L o u is ia n a now requires that a corporate party who makes a first appearance in a case must f ile two copies of a corporate disclosure statement either identifying any parent c o rp o ra tio n or corporation holding 10% or more of its stock holdings or file a statement s ta tin g there is no such parent corporation or other corporation holding stock in the c o rp o ra tio n . For pending cases in which a corporate disclosure statement has not p re v io u s ly been filed by any non-governmental corporate party, the court also requires s u c h a statement be filed as soon as possible. A corporate disclosure statement must be electronically filed or submitted within 10 d a y s from the date of this notice or the matter will be referred to the court for fu r th e r action to enforce compliance.
