ORDER GRANTING DEFENDANTS’ MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE A RESPONSE
TO PLAINTIFF’S MOTION TO COMPEL DISCOVERY (DOCKET NO. 14)
This matter comes before the Court on the Motion for Leave to File a Response to Plaintiff’s
Motion to Compel Discovery, filed by Defendants on October 7, 2010. (Docket no. 14). Defendants
state that they provided their discovery responses to the Plaintiff and believed that Plaintiff’s motion
would be withdrawn, therefore they did not file a response to his motion. Defendants seek leave to
file a response because Plaintiff has not withdrawn his motion. The motion has been referred to the
undersigned for decision pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(A). (Docket no. 18). The Court
dispenses with oral argument pursuant to E.D. Mich. LR 7.1(f). The Court has considered
Defendants’ Motion and will grant their request.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that Defendants’ Motion for Leave to File a Response
to Plaintiff’s Motion to Compel Discovery (docket no. 14) is GRANTED. Defendants are ordered
to file a Response to Plaintiff’s Motion to Compel on or before November 1, 2010. Plaintiff may
file a Reply Brief on or before November 8, 2010.

Pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 72(a), the parties have a period of fourteen days from the date of
this Order within which to file any written appeal to the District Judge as may be permissible under
28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1).
