The team researched, planned and conducted the eight month, authentic reenactment of La Salle's 1681- 1682 voyage of discovery from Montreal, Canada, down the Mississippi River, to the Gulf of Mexico Post- Expedition II Experience. 34 years of studies in the history of Rob ert Cavelier Sieur de La Salle. Participate in studies and voyages re -enacting L a Salle's reconnaissance operations from Montreal to the Gulf of Mexico, with particular focus on La Salle's work on behalf of France to claim the Mississippi River watershed for King Louis XIV.
Historical French- North Am erica Research Studies. Research studies focusing on La Salle and the activities of the French in North America, with special focus on the loss of Le Griffon and Fort Crevecoeur.
Research on Claude Bernou and Primary Source Docum entation. Research studies into primary source materials on La Salle, his reconnaissance operations, and Le Griffon, placing special emphasis on La Salle's letters; official account of LaSalle's operations, 16781680 by Claude Bernou's (La Salle's agent) ; and original source journals and letters of participants in La Salle' s journeys.
