Case No. 2:10-cv-01762-JCM-PAL
ORDER
(Mtn to Withdraw - Dkt. #13)
12
13
This matter is before the court on the Motion to Withdraw as Counsel of Record (Dkt. #13) filed
14
April 6, 2011. Anne E. Pieroni seeks to withdraw as counsel of record for Plaintiff Righthaven, LLC.
15
The Motion represents that Ms. Pieroni is no longer employed as counsel at Righthaven. Furthermore,
16
Ms. Pieroni was not retained to represent Plaintiff as outside counsel on behalf of Plaintiff. Local Rule
17
IA 10-6 provides that “no withdrawal . . . shall be approved if delay of discovery, the trial or any
18
hearing in the case would result.”
19
The Complaint (Dkt. #1) in this matter was filed October 12, 2010. There are no pending
20
motions before the court and Plaintiff is still in the process of serving Defendant. A review of the
21
docket shows that, although Ms. Pieroni seeks to withdraw as counsel, Righthaven, LLC is still
22
represented by other counsel who willl continue to serve as counsel of record. For good cause shown,
23
IT IS ORDERED:
24
1.
25
Dated this 15th day of April. 2011.
The Motion to Withdraw as Counsel of Record (Dkt. #13) is GRANTED.
