1 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 2 DISTRICT OF NEVADA 3 CURTIS GUY, Case No.: 2:11-cv-1809-APG-NJK Petitioner, 4 v. 5 WILLIAM GITTERE, et al., ORDER GRANTING MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME [ECF No. 87] 6 Respondents. 7 8 In this capital habeas corpus action, petitioner Curtis Guy, who is represented by 9 appointed counsel, is due to file a second amended habeas petition by February 25, 2019. See 10 Order entered November 26, 2018 (ECF No. 85). On February 15, 2019, Guy moved for a 2111 day extension of time, to March 18, 2019, to file his second amended petition. ECF No. 87. 12 Guy’s counsel states that the extension is necessary because of her obligations in other cases. 13 This would be the first extension of this deadline. The respondents do not oppose the motion. 14 Good cause exists to for the extension of time so I will grant it. 15 IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the petitioner’s motion for extension of time (ECF 16 No. 87) is GRANTED. The petitioner will have until March 18, 2019 to file his second 17 amended habeas petition. 18 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that, in all other respects, the schedule for further 19 proceedings set forth in the order entered November 26, 2018 (ECF No. 85) will remain in 20 effect. 21 Dated: February 19, 2019. 22 23 __________________________________ ANDREW P.
