The Court entered a screening order on April 30, 2014. (ECF No. 3). The screening 17 order imposed a 90-day stay and the Court entered a subsequent order in which the parties 18 were assigned to mediation by a court-appointed mediator. (ECF No. 3, 6). 19 The Office of the Attorney General has filed a status report indicating that settlement 20 has not been reached and informing the Court of its intent to proceed with this action. (ECF 21 No. 7 at 2). In the status report, the Office of the Attorney General states that the parties had 22 engaged in informal settlement discussions but had not been able to reach a settlement. (ECF 23 No. 7 at 2 n.1). The Office of the Attorney General also notes that the early mediation 24 conference is scheduled for August 22, 2014, and that the parties plan to attend the mediation 25 in good faith. (Id.). 26 The Court directs the Office of the Attorney General to file another status report on or 27 before August 29, 2014, informing the Court of the results of the early mediation conference. 28 If the parties are unable to reach a settlement at that time, the Court will issue an order on the matter of the filing fee and service. 1 II.
