The 17 presumptively reasonable discovery period is 180 days from the date of the first defendant’s appearance. 18 See Local Rule 26-4(e)(1). The pending discovery plan seeks an extended discovery period. Although 19 not entirely clear, it appears the request for extended discovery period is premised entirely on the 20 existence of a motion for preliminary injunction and the briefing thereof. See Docket No. 24 at 2 n.1. 21 The Court finds such reasoning insufficient to extend the discovery period. The parties shall file a 22 discovery plan that complies with the time period set out in the local rules no later than April 20, 2016. 23 IT IS SO ORDERED. 24 DATED: April 18, 2016 25 26 27 28 ______________________________________ NANCY J.
