In responding to the FOIA requests, the Federal Defendants withheld some 1 Case 2:16-cv-00403-JCM-PAL Document 28 Filed 10/24/16 Page 2 of 2 1 information pursuant to FOIA’s Exemption Four. Plaintiff brought this action seeking 2 disclosure of the information and alleging that the Federal Defendants failed to comply with 3 FOIA. 4 The Federal Defendants filed their Motion for Summary Judgment on July 5, 2016. 5 ECF# 20. Plaintiff filed its Response and Countermotion on August 9, 2016. ECF## 21, 25. On 6 September 27, 2016, the Court stayed the case (ECF #27) to allow the parties to pursue 7 settlement discussions. The Federal Defendants produced all information responsive to 8 Plaintiff’s original FOIA requests. 9 Despite good-faith efforts to resolve the remaining issues in the case, the parties have 10 been unable to come to a mutually satisfactory resolution. Accordingly, the parties request 11 that they be granted a short extension of the stay to November 10, 2016, so they can establish 12 a schedule for the remaining briefing in this matter. 13 14 15 Respectfully submitted this 24th day of October 2016.
