Kareen Anderson, a pretrial detainee in custody at the Nevada Southern Detention Center,
12
attempts to state a claim against Child Protective Services (“CPS”) for refusing to release his two-
13
year-old daughter into a temporary guardianship with his sister.1 Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen
14
recommends that Anderson’s application to proceed in forma pauperis2 be denied and that the case
15
be dismissed.3

The report and recommendation was entered May 2, 2017, making May 16, 2017, the
17
deadline to file an objection. Anderson filed a response on May 24, 2017, stating that he “do[es] not
18
wish to appeal [Judge Leen’s] decision.”4 “[N]o review is required of a magistrate judge’s report
19
and recommendation unless objections are filed.”5
Accordingly, with good cause appearing and no reason to delay, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED
20

that Judge Leen’s report and recommendation [ECF No. 8] is ACCEPTED and ADOPTED;
