The parties provide the following information to the Court regarding the proposed extension of the discovery deadline. The reason for the parties’ inability to comply with this deadline is Defendant’s counsel’s previously unforeseeable medical leave. Discovery Completed To Date 7 8 The parties have exchanged disclosures and written discovery. The motion to 9 compel which was before the Court, has been mostly resolved, and the parties have 10 scheduled depositions. 300 S. Reasons Discovery Could Not Be Completed Within The Existing Deadline 15 16 The parties continue to make progress in this matter, but Defendant’s counsel 17 was out on a medical leave of absence and just returned September 1. Scheduling 18 conflicts made it difficult to find mutually agreeable dates for deposition within the 19 20 21 22 short time remaining before the close of the current discovery deadline.
