WILLIAM GITTERE, et al., Respondents. 10 11 12 In this habeas corpus action, after a 120-day initial period, a 91-day extension, a 13 60-day extension, another 60-day extension, and a 30-day extension, the petitioner, 14 Mario Camacho, represented by appointed counsel, was due to file a second amended 15 petition for writ of habeas corpus by January 6, 2022. See Order entered January 8, 16 2021 (ECF No. 22) (120 days to file second amended petition); Order entered May 4, 17 2021 (ECF No. 26) (91-day extension); Order entered September 7, 2021 (ECF No. 28) 18 (60-day extension); Order entered November 10, 2021 (ECF No. 30) (60-day 19 extension); Order entered December 21, 2021 (ECF No. 32) (30-day extension). 20 On January 6, 2022, Petitioner filed a motion for extension of time (ECF No. 33), 21 requesting a further 60-day extension of time, to March 7, 2022, to file his second 22 amended petition. Petitioner’s counsel states that the extension of time is necessary to 23 further communicate with Petitioner and obtain a declaration from him. Respondents do 24 not oppose the motion for extension of time. The Court finds that the motion for 25 extension of time is made in good faith and not solely for the purpose of delay, and that 26 there is good cause for the extension of time. 27 28 1 Case 3:20-cv-00488-RCJ-WGC Document 34 Filed 01/07/22 Page 2 of 2 IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that Petitioner’s Motion for Extension of Time 1 2 (ECF No. 33) is GRANTED.
