Segura v. Griffin

Filing 12

ORDER ADOPTING REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION: Petitioner filed untimely objections to Magistrate Judge Bloom's Report and Recommendation (the "R&R") 10 , which recommends that the Court deny the Petition 1 for a Writ of Habeas Corpus. F ailure to timely file an objection to the R&R generally waives any further judicial review. DeLeon v. Strack, 234 F.3d 84, 86 (2d Cir. 2000). Nonetheless, the Court has considered Petitioner's objections, which simply rehash the arguments raised in his Petition and reply brief. None of those arguments provide a basis for relief. The Court has reviewed the R&R de novo and hereby ADOPTS the R&R in its entirety as the opinion of this Court. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 72(b)(1), (3); 28 U.S.C. § 6 36(b)(1)(C). Accordingly, the Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus 1 is DENIED. The Clerk of Court is directed to enter judgment, close the case, and mail a copy of this Order to the pro se litigant. Ordered by Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall on 1/25/2021. (Williams, Erica)
