No. 05-CV-491 (DNH/DRH) Dear Counsel: To ensure that the above-referenced action is proceeding in accordance with the Uniform Pretrial Scheduling Order issued in this matter, you are reminded that the period for conducting discovery is approximately half over. The discovery deadline is June 1, 2006. This Court intends to adhere to this deadline and the other Rule 16 deadlines and will not, absent extraordinary circumstances, entertain any requests or stipulations for extensions. You are further advised that inasmuch as the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure provide that responses to interrogatories, admissions, and production of documents shall be provided within 30 days of the discovery request, any such request must be made at least 30 days before the discovery deadlines. See N.D.N.Y.L.R. 16.2. In addition, all expert disclosure (including disclosure regarding any treating physicians) must be made prior to the close of discovery. See L.R. 26.3. Given the impending deadlines, you should bring discovery to a conclusion and consider whether you wish to make any motions. Please remember that motions must be filed and served on or before the motion deadline.
