The Authors Guild et al v. Google Inc.
Filing 549
QUESTIA MEDIA, INC.'S AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF IN OPPOSITION TO THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT By ignoring copyright laws and by twisting this class action settlement to its own ends, Google will obtain a monopoly for the commercial exploitation of millions of orphan works. Questia asks the Court not to provide Google with an unfair advantage. The orphan works problem can be solved, but it should be solved through legislation for the benefit of all, not through a class action settlement for the benefit of one company. (jmi)
