WITHDRAW SHARMILA SOHONI
AS COUNSEL FOR
VIACOM INTERNATIONAL,
INC. ET AL.

PURSUANT TO RULE 1.4 of the Local Rules of the United States District Courts for
the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the law firm Jenner & Block LLP files this
Motion for Leave to Withdraw Sharmila Sohoni as Counsel for Plaintiffs Viacom International,
Inc. et al. (“Viacom”) in the above-captioned case. In support of this motion, Jenner & Block
LLP states as follows:
1. Ms. Sohoni entered an appearance for Viacom on April 11, 2007 (Dkt. 12). In June
2011, Ms. Sohoni will leave Jenner & Block to enter academia.
2. Viacom has been informed of and consents to the withdrawal of Ms. Sohoni.
3. Viacom remains represented in this action by the law firms of Jenner & Block LLP and
Shearman and Sterling LLP. In addition, Viacom is represented by the law firm of

Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher LLP in Viacom’s pending appeal in the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Second Circuit.
4. As summary judgment has been granted to the Defendants and this case is pending on
appeal, there are no active proceedings in this action in this Court.
5. The withdrawal of Ms. Sohoni will not affect the case schedule in any way.
6. For the foregoing reasons, Jenner & Block LLP respectfully requests that this Court grant
leave for Sharmila Sohoni to withdraw as counsel for Viacom.
